Alamad
An NGO supporting nomadic women and girls education
Alamad is an NGO that supports the education of
nomadic girls and women in the Sahara. Started
by our fellow-tour operator colleague, Souleymane
Isha, of Tinarawene Desert Expeditions in Niger,
Alamad was created in 2010 following the Tuareg
Rebellion peace agreement. MudMaps has
travelled to this region and supports Alamad
financially and in-kind.
